It seems like everywhere you turn these days, there’s Tom Cruise, promoting or filming a movie. The movie star turned couch jumper has been busting ass since his crazy year of courting Katie and accusing Matt Lauer of being “glib” to get America to forget all of his craziness by making movies and being photographed with his wife and their child. Here, the “Top Gun” star is rocking the aviator sunglasses with his “Lions for Lambs” co-star, Michael Peña, at MTV’s TRL, of all places. Why didn’t Tom just try to promote his film by appearing on an episode of “Hannah Montana”? It would have been just as age-inappropriate. Shoot, even I know I’m too old for TRL. But my favorite theory that has emerged from Tom’s current publicity blitz is that he put Katie up to running the New York City marathon so that he could be photographed meeting her at the finish line. This little doozy is being touted by E! News online and personally, I can’t think of a better way to start my day than with a little conspiracy theory and some coffee.
